Hello, This is my first cart. Wanted something simple to get some seat time and see what works and what doesnt. Had a great time building this kart. How ever its still not done need to sheet in the sides and prep/paint.

Yes test drove it yesterday runs great! Ordered a 72 tooth sprocket to get some more low end. I want a TQ converter but trying to keep it cheap. The kart is very light. I can pick it up and put it in my Lifted ford F150 by myself. Used 3/4 for the basic low square and 1/2 for the rest. i got a few tight bends with my HF pipe kinker. The trick is filling the pipe with sand. The kart is also mostly TIG welded.

also have a good tip on throttle cable. I couldnt find one long enough so i used some 3/16ths brake line and got 1/6th stainless cable inside it. Works great and doesnt need alot of support.

Looks nice, sweet and simple, clean design. Would be simple to add a full cage down the line if desired too.

Looks great. Is that chain properly aligned? With a head bar like that, shouldn't you have seat belts?

I need to fix the chain/ sprocket the nothern hub kinda sucks the single set screw on the keyway so it loosens up and slides and the chain falls off. im going to drill a extra set screw. Also need to make shims to tension chain. I have a 4 point seat belt the will be getting put in.

Looks pretty neat. I say go with the harness. It may not be a full "cage" but there's enough structure there that in the even of a roll, a body could get caught up. Better to be strapped in completely.
