Since I've mentioned my jeep as well as friends' toys I figured I'd make a thread for em finally.

We'll start off with my pile. 01 Silver Jeep Cherokee (XJ). 4.5 in lift (for now) with 35x12.5 Maxxis buckshots, it's locked in the rear and open front. At this point I've replaced everything from the transfercase out and have learned a ton about it in the process, great for use on the rest of the rigs.

Up next: Owen's 2000 Zr2 S10. He got the pos. 4 years ago with 200k, has put 40k on it as his daily since. By far where most of my time had been spent working on a vehicle. Bone stock truck (on 31s) thats going through almost anything we do and doesn't break when it does. We cut the door pins 3 months ago after an outing where the cab sunk enough that the latches wouldn't work, recently fixed. Currently planning a solid axle swap with one of my old axles and other spare parts.

That's Rex, Wesley's 01? Ranger. It's more Jeep than Ranger with 4.0 and 5speed out of an XJ. Set up with radius arm long travel up front and chevy leafs in the rear on jeep axles. Currently welded front and rear after we grenaded the front differential 2 months into him owning it. Makes 35s look small.

Finally (for now hehe) is Jake's '68 CJ5. It was previously his cousin's and made it to him after it was left to die in their grandparents barn. It's got about 6 in of lift and is now on 33x12.5s, somewhere along the line someone swapped in a 231ci buick v6 and 4speed manual to replace the 225 buick. Really the first old vehicle I've gotten to dig into. It's been rewired (let the magic smoke out) as well as a clutch, new front axle with disk brakes and some other small stuff since then.

That's all for now, will get to Jimmy's monster of a YJ at a later date.

Plenty of mud around here. Tearing into some issues I've been having, moving the alternator up from the bottom side to hopefully not kill another one. Turns out the giant oil leak was the lack of gasket on the cam sensor. That and the upper starter bolt backed out, not sure how on that one. #xjproblems.

Lil update since then. Starter bolts were because I put them in wrong. One metric one standard. Just warrentied the starter. Killed a crank sensor at the beginning of November on the way down to wheel. Last month has been fixit mode as next event is Feb.

Tore the bumper off to do a diy kit install, found rust in the process. Also installing shackle boxes and unibody tie ins for the bumper so rust repair gets to come first.20230102_225739.jpgSnapchat-1630643396.jpgSnapchat-335106798.jpg

Still need to make patches for the rails and work my way forwards.

Also have a slip yoke eliminator, Ironrock 3link long arms and cavfab crossover steering to install.

Also throwing a different front axle in, this one with a locker. Had to do a bit of straightening first.

It may be a piece, but it's my piece.

November : Don't have too much of the first weekend itself. Broke down on the way out, 40 min trip turned into 4 hrs. Made it down and swapped sensors the next morning. Ended up at a nice angle on a rock face. Xjs playing where they shouldn't.

This is all Black Friday/prep before. Replaced the bent leafs and garbage spacers. Wheeled hard that weekend. Ended up smacking the tail light and quarter into a tree. Oops. Other than that, good trip out.

The rest is all the December 1 day ride or after. Cool pic while Owen was bottomed out, our usual lake pic, 3 wheelin in the xj and my 35s on Jake's CJ. Convinced him he needed a set.

Heres some pics from the last few events and in between. Feb was a flop. Got the jeep there and it ran for 10 min then wouldn't start. Same day Jake also ripped teeth of his ring gear in the CJ and Wes did similar in the ranger.
Wheeling March was good, met up with some friends with xjs and generally had a good time, broken jeep included.

April was good, all of the usual suspects were still broken so I was out wheeling with Owen as passenger, hung out with another XJ and a YJ on tons and 40s.

Ugh..its page 13 of the build linked, we raced ECORS from the inception for 3 years, 1st race wife got 2nd place,41 trucks 3 classes,7 finished.
She was in the pink demon I built for her.

Moar pics of crash ,nosed in at 45 degrees. Don't remember the the hit, we rolled to where you see the truck. Co driver said "are we dead?" I responded with "I don't know" everyone ran up yellare they okay. Wife was waving checkered flag when it happened.
crash3.jpgcrash2.jpg
Impact pushed dirt through the headlights....and shortened the drivers wheelbase 3 inches or so....tons of wheeling pictures from paragon pa,harlen ky, Tellico tn and our home base was callalantee tn
