Man, I can't begin to describe how much I loved my GX340. That thing was bombproof, and dead nuts reliable. If it doesn't work, it's still worth a lot more than 50 bux. You'd be a retard to pass it up.

Mounting and shaft size will be different.

And if its a real gx340, get it anyway. you'll make your money back PLUS even if it needs work.

Leave governor intact- don't fluck up a perfectly good big block GX.

1. hook the throttle up correctly (should be labeled as a remote throttle diagram or something). :iagree: with toystory, don't screw up a good engine, 11hp can be geared much higher than your 6.5, giving you better performance without screwing with the engine and causing shorter engine life.

2. it could have any kind of shaft, tapered, threaded, etc. if your lucky it should be a standard 1" keyed straight shaft, you will need a 1" bore clutch rated to handle the extra torque.

3. the engines base mounting hole dimensions will be different than the clone's.

4. you will need to think about how/if you want to re-gear, what type of chain to use, what size sprocket the larger clutch will have, and chain alignment with the larger engine.

5. overall dimensions of the engine will be larger. you should probably remove your clone, and try to see if the gx340 will go in the frame, or if it wont.

if for some reason you decide not to buy it, if my parents let me, i would be happy to buy it and have it shipped!

Nope. 1" shaft, and a larger footprint. It's a big block. Too nice an engine to screw with either. Get her running nicely, back out the throttle stop, and enjoy 1-pull starts and purring along at 4200 'till the cows come home.

FWIW- I sold mine a couple months ago for $250, and that was a rough exterior appearance, and pull-start only. Guy was a contractor, needed a replacement engine for his Ditch Witch. His clone blew up!:roflol::roflol::roflol:

(he learned his lesson)

It is. But my gx200 clone us already all set up on the kart and switching it out would be a pain, also it dosent have adjustable motor mounts, it's a surprise I even got this engine on it. My bike has more fitting motor mounts, and all I would probably have to do is get a clutch and chain to set it up. And I would, but ive never had a genuine Honda engine, only clones and I wanna use the real thing. And using the Honda would keep me from buying a predator
