Off-Road Kart

I'm a retired ME, 75 years old. I'm interested in building an off-road kart probably with IFS. Since I've just joined, I don't know if my project is something of interest here on not.

I retired from stock car building mostly because I'm having difficulty getting in and out of them. Actually, I can get in OK but it takes three paramedics to get me out.

Hi LandUse,

I'm not sure where to start actually. I'm thinking to purchase a used kart like this maybe and looking at modifying the suspension.

What are your thoughts?

I'd take a look at the FunctionalArtists Dingo with suspension and a bit more project. It is basically what you are doing. If that looks like you could do it, by all means go ahead.

It's not necessary to use ATV parts, but it might help.
