Hi Landuse

The walk has been postponed until 10 March to give the Council time to process the permit. We start at Kreefte Baai beach, Blaauwberg at 11h00.

Hi Jake.B

The materials and the components cost about 7000 US but we wasted a lot of cash on ideas that did not work. My next build will be a small electric baloon tyre ride-on toy for disabled toddlers. I am thinking of a transaxle, bent up stainless plate chassis with holes punched for bolt-on components and a one piece moulded acrylic body.

Hi Island

I will be getting around to videos and will post the links.

At first I wasn't too sure why you needed a permit, but then I remembered that that beach is in the nature reserve if I am not mistaken.

I love the Cape. I stayed in Stellenbosch for many years while studying, and then after that as well. I got to know the wine farms really well. I even worked at Delheim wines for a couple of years

I hope it all goes well with the walk

I've only just found this forum (looking forward to getting stuck in, too) but I had to comment on this one. Wow! What a bit of kit. So inspiring. A all the better that it's to bring joy to a kid dealt a tough hand.

Massive kudos to you. Just brilliant!

Welcome to the forum Landlord. Start a new thread in the Introduce Yourself section and tell us what you are planning on building/fixing etc. If you have a project on the go, you can start a thread in the projects section with a build log
