Man if I still had my first car:

It had a 1.3 liter 4 cyl engine, which would be perfect to do a Hayabusa swap to. The car only weighed 1500 pounds. Even with the normal motor, the thing hauled balls!

Was kinda sad when I had to sell it. :(

I would love a turbo hayabusa smart though... Pull up to the red light next to the guy in the mustang and see the look on his face when you rev the engine. Aahahaha

They were (from memory) about 850kgs, that's about 1800lbs?

Those are insane fun little things, we had a few turbo ones over here, a friends friend had a modified one, you shoulda seen the look on peoples faces when a bog stock looking Daihatsu Charade would leave them behind! :roflol:

I've always wanted to get one of the earlier turbo Charades and mod the crap out of it. :devil2:

If I was going to put a bike engine in a car it's be a FIAT 126, there's tons of bike engined 126s in Europe, some one managed to fit a Chevy V8 in one too, does 9 second quarters. :devil2:

Thanks

Hayden

Doh'! I was off 300 pounds. Close enough guess though. Mine was also a 2 door instead of a 4 door and had a lot of the inside paneling removed. The entire AC and power steering system had also been removed.

The only thing I hated about the car is that they are so rare in the States that it's impossible to find parts. I remember the passenger CV shaft going out and the car sat for 6 months before I could get to the nearest driveshaft remanufacturing place and get it rebuilt. (I live about an hour away from everything). I bought it when it had around 180,000 miles on it. When I sold it, it had 230,000+ miles and it was still running strong.

Other than that, I loved that thing so much. Small, fast, sporty, fuel efficient and reliable. :wai:

Then when I bought the Jeep, one of them had to go because our driveway was like a wal-mart parking lot because of all the vehicles. Had to choose the Daihatsu because the Jeep had only 60k miles on it, had a better market for parts, and had a lot more storage room since I am starting college soon.
