Well....I made one of those notes when I did overhead welding without gloves....or any protection besides a hood.....

Yeah....I caught fire ....but the worst thing was all the little burns in the crook of my thumb....where I was holding the wand
....

Anyone ever get slag in your ear? I could hear it sizzling but could not get it out?

You name it and I've burnt it welding! Yes that too! I've gotten so much slag in my ears over the years I don't even flinch anymore. I had a dog that used to let me know when I was on fire.

I literally wear shorts and flip flops to do anything and everything except for my "awesome" corporate job. I wouldn't say my feet are tougher than Cody Lundin's but I bet they're tougher than yours. Yes I sometimes get weld splatter on my feet, recently I burned a small hole in the top of my foot- yes, it hurt. But the good news, my legs haven't caught on fire.

I was just welding today in flip flops. Threw the towel I use to cover welder over there first. Still got burned.

You have to wet the towel :lolgoku: Yeah that is scary cause I swear a towel will sit there and smolder for an hour very little smoke and no flame till it catches something else on fire!

Well...being a poor carpenter with a lot of wood woodworking tools...sometimes ya gotta get creative.....

Sooooo.....I often cut 12 gauge steel with a jigsaw and a metal cutting blade....

Unfortunately...I'm also getting old and going blind....so.....I gotta get close to see what I'm doing......

Needless to say....when you get a hot ember up your nose....it'll make your eyes water.....
