Not sure what I have Rupp? Help Please

I picked this up from a customer of mine for what I thought was a very good deal. I was planning on throwing a 200cc honda four wheeler engine on it until my UPS guy spotted it and told me I may have something. He thinks its a Rupp, after research, I agree.

The frame is straight, all the bearings are good and it only has surface rust. From what I have gathered, these had aluminum bottoms in them where mine has a poorly welded on steel bottom.

What model is it?
What is it worth as is vs restored?


All this research has made me interested in Vintage Karts. What do I need to do to restore it?

Can someone educate me on the history of this model and point me in the direction of original pictures and restored ones?

i might be wrong, im not to good at identifying karts, but that looks to me like a rupp dart a bone

I recently picked up an old wreck of a Clark. While this may be a different model, it has some commonalities-

*Front axle sweep
*Spindle brackets
*Steering wheel
*"bent" front bumper
*Wheels are identical (from what I can see)
*Drum brake on live axle arrangement

(Again, different model, but my floor was all-welded steel, too).

Come to think of it, check out Orange Crate's "Clark Rebel" chassis in that thread- we might have a winner!

possibly. I have a Honda 200cc engine w/ electric start + 5 speed w/ reverse I was going to try to fit. Slicks, Possibly after I get it moving under its own power.

Clark also made a non official, smaller frame, General Lee Go-Kart. Looks kind of like what you have.

Did some work on it tonight. Trying to get everything cleaned up and painted. I need to get some clear coat for what I plan to leave bare metal. I need some new Chrome Acorn nuts for the 2 piece wheel.
