can you take a torque converter driven apart? How? and what do i lube and what do i clean? the engine on my go kart sounds like it is straining. The gear ratio is perfect. i ride it regularly and one day i cranked it up. and the engine runs FULL speed but the cart aint moving. i got off the gokart and pressed the pedal and it was ready to move. all before weight was not a problem. i got up to speed perfect but what now? please help.

take the plastic cover off the torque convertor and see what's happening. Maybe you broke the belt. ?

the belts in great condition. i have oil and gas and it is not to rich. i have tried everything but i don't know what the problem is. so what i am thinkin about doin is getting that engine from harbor freight tools. but is it any good. and i have a 30 series torque converter so would that 6.5hp engne drive shaft be keyed to the rite size as my converter?Please help

The Harbor Freight engine is great. It's a Honda Clone, so that means it's probably awesome. And yes, I think the torque converter would fit on that engine.

would compression in the cylinder be a reason for the engine to not crank. i don't think so but i had to ask.where can i get lighter pistons and crankshaft and etc for the honda clone at harbor freight tools?

Maybe the sopring in the cltuch part on the motor is worn out, making it now squeeze as much making it not move.

engine not to crank??? I thought you just said the engine runs at full RPMS -- and the problem is that the torque-a-verter isn't engaging? What is the precise break-down in the setup?

ok currently my go kart is NOT cranking. no signs of trying to crank at all ether. the one time i barely got it to crank. i floored the gas the engine ran ok but the car DID NOT even flinch forward.HELP ME.

Take the side cover off and take a pics to show us. If the brelt is broke its not going to move.

the belt is not broken. so what i was thinkin was get a engine rebuild kit and move forward from there. BUT the problem now is that i can find engine rebuild kits for the fun power b&s engine model numbers 133200- number 137200. any sites to check and i will see what i can do about the pics

my engine is very some timey. it starts when it feels like it. like today i changed the oil in it that was only a week old, and change spark plug and it started. after a minute. the shut it off and i went back to it in 10 minutes and it would not crank for nothing. when i put it in choke position and pull the string it does not even sound like it is tryin to start. no kind of signs. so i will try a brand new spark plug tomorrow. and if that does not work ether i scrape the engine and get the harbor freight tools one or i spend my money and rebuild it with new everything. anymore suggestions before i get mad at the engine?Please and thank you

hi ,i just bought a brand new scooter x go kart (x cart) and it has worked for about a day ... but then today after i drove it for about half an hour is stopped... i think it stopped cause of over heating... but then i got on it about 3 hours later and i pulled the starter and it started and i pulled the gas and the wheels spun(i was lifting the back wheels and i was not on the go kart) it was still working and as soon as i sat down and pressed on the gas it died so i got up started it again lifted back wheels pulled gas and they spun.... so i took a seat again and i pressed on the gas and it died.... and this happened like 15 time already... can someone please please please help me figure out what the problem is? thanks! much apreciated

well mabe your air/fuel mixture is too rich and its causing carbon build up somewhere. mabe on the spark plug. check to see if theres anything on the spark plug and check the gap

well on my kart after rought driving teh sparkplug gets dirty, and it'll crank when it feels like it.

so before we found out it was the sparkplug me and my dad rebuild the carb like 5 times. in teh end it was better then new

changed the sparkplug and bam it worked. now we just have a couple plugs that we interchange

BUT MY SPARKPLUGS ARE BRAND NEW???? AND MY GAS IS NOT TOO RICH.there is no trash in my tank. my tank is not rusted. my carb is clean . what is the problem???????

Is It The Belt? If The Belts Good When You Give It Gas Look At The Clutch Is It Closing Togeather?
