Thank you and the forum members for a very insightful web presence to seek assistance with the Chinese LIFAN motor. I’m retired by choice, and a retired former member of Uncle Sam’s Misguided Children or the Unitied Staes Marine Corps. I found the forum out of sure luck and like a person of distinct aging (that means Old Dude) it has been been helpful. I am currently resto-modifying a 69 Honda CT90 K1. What I thought was a good buy has turned into a mildly expensive restoration. LIFAN 125cc added due to the horribly shot 90cc Honda engine. I feel more like “confuseya” instead of “Confucius” due to all of the mismatched color coding on the wire harness. But like any old *** grey head I am not giving in. I look forward to participating and hopefully providing my positives and negatives to the rebuild. Oh yeah, and the only reason I haven’t quit, the bike is going to my grandson as a first motorcycle ride.

Welcome to the nut house. We're all old farts too.
That's a beautiful job your doing.
That's a gy6 engine if you haven't figured out. Lots of parts for those and alot of really cheap stuff too. And yeah the wiring is a little to be desired.
