I took possession of a Baja Dune 150 that has been setting out in the weather for five years. (Freebie) Owner says it was losing power when going up their road so they quit using it. Fuel smells like turpentine now, cleaned the tank and pulled the tank filter, petcock leaking. Air filter was solid dirt, most probably the reason for losing power. New battery installed. Ignition switch turns on but doesn't turn the starter. Hit it with starter fluid and jumped the solenoid, fired right up but won't stay running. New carb and filters arrived last night. Seems like it's going to be an adventure

The Baja Dune is running smoothly forward and backwards. Ignition turns on but doesn't turn the starter. Not sure why but going to use a jumper button on the solenoid until I figure it out. Gas pedal was sticking so had to put two springs on it to keep the buggy from running away. Front left brake line is squirting but brakes are for sissies. lol New brake line ordered. Front right tire won't keep pressure so going to install MTB tubleless tire sealant.

Hey man, this subforum is just for saying hi and shaking hands. No one really comes here, so copy/paste everything you've already written here (so you don't have to re-type it) and put it in Go Kart Discussion which is the main part of this site.

It will help your issue get the attention it deserves, plus you can post photos of your kart right to the site, no photobucket needed. I want to see your Flintstone's car too probably in another thread because I'm OCD like that.
