Just wanted to say a quick Hi to all the locals. I've been into anything motorized since I was about 8, 32 now. I just grabbed a $175 racing kart project which I think was a pretty good buy, so I'll most likely be hanging around a lot with plenty of noob questions. I've had quite a few karts in the past but never a racing kart so it should be a fun rebuild. Not setting it up for race, just play.

Are you referring to the offset or stagger? That's common racing stuff.

Thanks everyone for the kind welcome. I'm impressed, I was able to find out exactly what kart I have very shortly after signing up here (1989 Margay Lynx AC)

Well the right wheel is really far away from the bearing, whilst the left wheel is quite close to it. That's normal then?

That offset is to accomodate the engine
