Noob here - gathering information

Just started browsing the forum to gather ideas. Friend of mine and I are planning on building a kart (or karts) for the kids. Looks like a lot of great information on here, I'm sure I'll have some dumb questions as I go along.

Got a Lincoln 110 in the garage but I don't have much in the way of wood screws.

Just a little single seat with a centrifugal clutch that my son will enjoy. Will likely build one for my buddies kid too at the same time.

Unless you are a fabricator or have a friend who has that ability & equipment you should look at a used yard kart that can be upgraded or rebuilt as required. Otherwise you will spend a lot of money on pieces of steel, nuts, bolts, and fittings.
