he guys just wanted to say what an awesome site this is and such a wealth of information.me and my oldest boy (12) wanted to do a father son project so we searched around and found a Manco go kart project. I paid 85 dollars for it and its pretty complete with 2 5hp b&s engines they need a little work but hey 85 dollars right lol.ill post a pic of the score asap.thanks for the site guys and all the help we will surely receive :thumbsup:

You can't go wrong with that score...

From what I've seen, Manco's are pretty solid karts, I can't see you having too many problems with it but, if you do, you know where we are...

well so far I tore one engine down to the bare block for later to build and I dug a carb out of a box that came with the cart bought a new plug and a can of starter fluid pulled a couple dozen times and pow fired right up!cool beens now I have to try and understand the converter set up one again ill try to get a pic asap but in the mean time how would I find out what it is and where to get one or fix it it looks as though half of it on the engine side is gone

Everything appears to be there but, the two aren't aligned; the back plates (closest to the engine) should be inline with eachother so, it seems you have a bit of a dilemma: To align the driven (on the jackshaft) with the driver (on the engine) you'd need to remove those washers from the jackshaft but, in doing so, the chain will the hit the engine mount.

Someone should chime in with a possible solution soon...
