I bought a homemade (Chincy) frame off Craigslist for $150, just as a parts pile basically. Has an 11 HP Honda, which seems like a solid engine from my research. Has electric start, axles, a clutch, and a band brake, so i thought it was a good start. Then I found an off road frame that was well built and 80% complete with front and rear suspension for $60....so I bought that too. Now I have the itch to just get something going, so I am going to pick up a one seat Yerf Dog off a guy this morning for $300. Has a 5.5 HP Honda. I figure it will be good for the kids once mine is done, but my 1 yr old son is constantly climbing in the homemade cart and wanting to ride, so I figured why not get something we can play with now. Just found the forum today, so I thought I would say hi.

AH oh, we have seen it before, someone starts a build and then buys something that only needs this or that and the first build never gets done. Theres alot of people on here that have done that. I am sure that would be easy to do. Definately gonna keep on the first one, but the new little Yerf Dog is fun now. What can I say, that lil 5.5 Honda runs like a top, but I can't wait to see what the 11hp will do.

This is so true, I've seen it happen on many forums. Most of the time it's because someone hits a roadblock during the build and just gets pissed off. With all the buggy forum communities out their it's so easy to get tips and tricks to finish a good build.

So good luck and feel free to ask for help, Every buggynut I've ever met is always willing to jumo in and help.

My current build is a Crossfire 750 upgrade with IRS. We just installed the rear suspension and will wrap up the jackshaft next sunday.

I once had an opportunity to buy a crossfire that needed very little. A guy bought 2 from the company that they had in the warehouse from the previous year. He used a few parts like brake lines and a support for the cargo rack. He was selling it for $500 but the parents shot me down. It was undriven and needed like $50 in parts.
