I bought a yerf dog 2 seater with a burnt clutch and motor I bought a 212 predator and a new clutch. Once installed it has no bottom end at all on flat grass it will barely move itself but once it's going it's scary fast it's a 10 tooth clutch with a 60 tooth drive and 18 inch tires I ordered a tav 2 torque converter I figured it would help A. will it help me B. Should I swap tires? Smaller larger? I have to travel a mile or so on road to reach my riding area. And most of my riding is off road through woods and on wheeler trails. Right now I think it's hitting 30 to 35mph but I know I'm ruining the clutch any advice.

I got pieces of a comet in a bucket with it but it seems to be a jumble of crap left in a bucket full of water it is a plate that sits under the motor. I figured new would be better I've always ran quads go carts are new to me and really a different game

I have a buggy with stage 1 modded predator 212. I had TC with 10T, 60T on axle, and 16" tires. It almost went 40 mph, but I wanted better low end so I went with 8T on TC and 60T on axle. I like it much better now. It goes 36mph and easily makes it up most hills near me. It was fine with 6:1, but struggled (just a little) on medium hills. If you want to change tires, go smaller for more low end. Or get a 9T, or 8T for the TC (it will be cheaper than tires)

A) Yes
B) No, but if you do, go smaller
C) I recommend TC with 7.5 : 1 gear ratio

Well the tires on it now have about 10 plugs per side lol and are turf tires so I was planning on a tire swap anyway but a may buy the 8 or 9 also cause I do things I shouldnt sometimes.

It will be ridden about 10 miles round trip once a week all summer to go to my mother in law to play on our dirt track we are building in the woods so I'd like to keep a little speed

Well my buggy with 7.5 : 1 gearing, 30 series TC, predator 212 (stage 1 mod no gov) 16" tires goes around 36 mph and 5000 rpm. It went 39 mph same distance with 6:1. How fast do you want to go?

I'm not removing the governer at this point but 30 would do fine I think it's better than the 15mph I'm getting out of my 200cc baja warrior. I ordered 2 30 series converters they are both getting them installed this week when I get back from utah

I think a TC with 7.5: 1 and 18" tires will do 28mph with governor still in.
TC with 6.67 : 1 and 18" tires should do just over 30 mph with governor still in.

With 6:1, I'd go with smaller tires...
TC with 6:1 and 16" tires will be about the same as 6.67:1 and 18" tires (just over 30 mph at 3600 rpm)
