Hello guys, I've been checking out the forum for a couple weeks now and figure I'd sign up since I've been drooling over all the bada** gokarts.
I just bought a Carbide 150 about 2 months ago for cheap because it was not running. The guy I bought it from said it ran last summer when he parked it , Yea Right! I ended up changing out the whole top end to get it going.
I rode it for a day and a spring inside the gearbox broke and wouldn't stay in gear. I then ordered this part and installed it, it ran for a day and now no spark . Now im just on a rant! Long story short, it's not running right now and I'm starting to hate the gy6!
I'm looking for a small frame gokart for me to build and I also want to build from scratch a small gokart with a 49cc motor for my 5 and 3 year-old. Here's a pic of my 1 1/2yearold in the carbide.

Welcome to the forum.
I have a Carbide too with a lot of mods. The gy6 is a great engine and easy to work on. Granite it does have its own set of problems... But when properly tuned. It is a beast. Does anything happen with key in and on?? check for continuity at all the junctions with a multimeter.
Always check your ground wire on the CVT cover. As that commonly gets forgotten on reassembly... Anyways Welcome to the forum this is the place for all things go karts.
I feel your frustration. I love my Carbide as does the family. I too am in the mist of a Murray go kart build.

Your still outnumbered TEXAN. Electrical can be a nightmare. Sometimes you need to do something else and the answer will come to you.

Thanks for the welcome Nick . I checked the stator and I'm not getting anything from the trigger wire (blue/yellow) but I am getting 60v from the (red/black) wire. So I guess I'm ordering a new stator. I had checked it a week ago when it quit on me and I thought it was good and my cdi was bad so I just ordered a new cdi, coil and rectifier and put all of them on and still nothing. So I chece the stator again and it showed nothing on the multimeter. It's says it needs to be at least 0.05v
