Have any of you watch cnn lately since they killed osama?

If not, well they were talking about troops going to pakastan and how that could put the US against china since they have large investments in that country apparrently. Its kinda interesting like where would the war take place?, it'd pretty much be a battle of numbers(china) vs tactics(US) but most of all armored warfare for once we'd be going up against real tanks not those old russian t-72's... leopard 2 vs m1a2 abrams :wai: (dont mind that Im enlisting to be a tanker humor me)

any thoughts? I'll see if i can find the article if anyone is interested

China and the US wouldnt go into war, both rely on the other too much. We get everything from China while they get all our money and give us massive loans.

there is a war of sorts going on right now. Its a battle for control over resources.
The chinese and the US are fighting for influence/control over the worlds resources. The Chinese are doing it by investing in foreign business and developing nations, the US are doing a bit of that as well as using the traditional method of putting troops where they want control, ie the middle east.

Look what the Chinese are doing in Africa and the Pacific. Forign aid to small developing nations + investment in the private sector. This gets them votes in international forums(the UN etc), influence over the direction of foriegn countries and control of resources they need to grow/sustain their enormous population. For example in New Zealand they're trying to buy up farms so as they can have a guaranteed supply of dairy products.

Its kind of like a new cold war. I dont think either nation actualy wants to fight a traditional war but it may come to that. Give it 50 years or so, it could happen.

That's how I see it anyway. Probably an over simplified and inacurate way of looking at whats going on:D

I read recently that China's economy is kind of like the US war time economy during WWII. We couldn't have anything because it was all going for the war effort. All manufacturing effort was going towards things that went across the ocean and were blown up or CONSUMED.

After the war, the manufacturing effort returned to making goods for us and export to other countries for money, income.

Now China's people are doing the same only there's no war, only our consumtion in exchange for bad debt. Once they wake up and realize our money is no good they will keep all that cheap chinese crap for themselves and call in our debt. With our foreign dependence and near destroyed manufacturing base we will be :censored:!

War? They'll never even have to fire a shot!
