Newby - from North Texas - First Kart

Just bought a Carter Talon cart that needs a lot of TLC. Looks like POs swapped out the stock engine/tranny for one without reverse. I'm not sure it will be worth the trouble to return to with reverse. In the beginning, I just intend to clean it up and fix things that are wrong. Starting with the steering gear dust boots. Carter is out of business but, I'm hoping the steering gear is a common part on other brands.

Welcome. And yes karts are pretty generic to what parts fit. Usually gotta make it work.

Welcome. Lots of stuff will bolt on as is. And the stuff that won't, don't be afraid to modify it to your liking. It's the way to get them up and running again.
