Newbie with a problem...

Hey guys im new here! MY names Marcus and ive always had go karts. But i came across a rustler on craigslist yesterday for a steal so i had to pick it up. Met up with the guy and half of the puyll start rope is hanging out, only recoils like halfway. And needed front tires. Nothin bad. So we test rode it there. No problems. Then i got it home, went to start it and it jerked forward. Like it was stuck in gear. I tried moving the car back and forth to get it out but nothing helped. I was hoping to get it running today so i could take it out to the desert. So im hoping to fix this as soon as possible. Any help is greatly appreciated. BTW it has a torque converter..

Try cleaning the drive clutch as your first step, often times if the belt is severely worn or the clutch is dirty it will have problems disengaging.

how do i clean it? i called the original owner and he said it did this sometimes and all he had to do was shake the kart to get it to pop out of gear

Ok before i dissassemble, is there anything i can try?

The driver clutch is very very simple inside, when mine did that I discovered one of the guide pins on the puck had worked its way out.
