Newbie with a gx390

Total newbie here from the uk

Got a gx390 13hp engine and was looking on the Internet for info regarding clutches and its led me here

Now need to dream up a project to build

So beware I'll be asking stupid questions but promise to use the search function first

Welcome. Unfortunately with a 390 you are going to have to get an expensive clutch. You have a 1" shaft. If you get a torque converted you will need to get a comet 40 series, of something equivalent

I suggest you start searching local online classifieds for an appropriate rolling chassis...

I have a 420 predator motor and i use a noram 1in bore 14 tooth clutch and its been solid for hundreds and hundreds of miles.
And i mean hundreds too. i got about 3000 miles on my engine.

If you maintain it, oil it and dont over tighten the chain, use the right gearing it should last you a while.

It's freebie motor so what I have saved there I'll be spending on a clutch or convertor...
