Hi all! I just acquired a Carter Model 1765 in really good condition. It is however missing the left front wheel hub. I've done some research and it appears it should be part number G264. It's a 1 3/8" bore and 4 lug that look to be about 3 inches across from each other.

I'm really new to this and after a lot of searching I cannot find a replacement anywhere.

Can anyone please give me a suggestion where to look or a proper replacement?

Thanks!
John

The company is no longer in business. There are no direct replacements available, or at least I couldn't find any, because Carter hubs have a unique bolt pattern spacing. You will have to find something similar and modify it to fit your Carter rim. Or you can buy a new hub (different bolt pattern) with matching rim.
Got any pictures?

Where did you look?

Around here we like BMI and GoPowerSports. If you cannot find an exact duplicate, buy a new hub and a wheel that matches. Or buy two so your front wheels match.

Thanks for the info, I was hoping to find a replacement hub for the the one side.

What pictures would help? I can post any that may help.

Thanks

Haven't found a replacement on either of those.

Like I said new to this so buying a new hub and wheel that matches is kind of confusing to me.

Well, Texan is correct--Carter Bros is long defunct and they had proprietary fittings made for their karts. So did Ken-Bar. But then there's generic parts out there for our use. What sucks is a missing hub (and of a type no longer made) makes you lose a perfectly good wheel.

Pictures would help, with a ruler placed up against the wheel or hub, showing the precise measure from hole to hole. I think the proper way to measure is across the hub from 3 to 9 o'clock if it's 4-bolt.

Thanks guys, here is a couple pictures with measurements. 3 1/8 between holes on the hub and rim, 1 3/8 ID for the bearing and the other measurements are on the pictures. I sure hope I can find one that will work.
