Newbie question: Indoor gas karts?

So I've been researching these indoor kart facilities after doing my first few races this past weekend. Loved it!

I have a question though... I see some facilities use gas karts, but indoors. How is this possible? Seems like a bad idea, the karts I drove this weekend were electric and that made sense.

Could be propane powered karts.

around here all indoor karts are actually gas karts (well few exceptions really..)
And it's perfectly alright given that they run gigantic A/Cs to pull all exaust fumes out and pump fresh air in..

If you however see an indoor track with gas karts without gigantic pipes for air conditioning... then you'd better bring your respirator

Hmm, thanks for the responses guys. Kinda crazy to me that they'd run them indoors like that, but the exhaust system for the building makes sense. I think id still rather be in an electric only facility tho...

makes a ton of a difference in noise and "odor" of the facility indeed

But since indoor karting is around much much longer than electric go karts are.. chances are older tracks are still running the gas powered karts at their ventilated indoor tracks

Frankly, as much as I love electric motors and their benefits.. the scream and smell of a whizzing kart in a closed room is something I quite enjoy every now and then
