Thanks bob. I think im going return the clutch. Can anybody suggest a brand.

With the chain off as it is, does the drum smoothly spin freely or is it rough and sandy feeling???

I could be off but I counted the "sprockets" (teeth) on that clutch and came up with 12 "sprockets" (teeth). That would throw his ratios off, and if he miscounted on the big one also well.

You are correct. There are 12 teeth. I messed up. And tge clutch spins free with no noise without the chain on it. Do you all think this just ratio issue? Drive sprocket is confirmed to be 60 teeth.

Drive sprocket is for sure 60 teeth.

It appears as though you have a #35 chain. In that case I would do 10 tooth clutch and a 72 tooth axle sprocket.

Because the id of the 10 tooth portion is smaller than the PTO, it has to sit outside of the end of the shaft, which opens up a whole nother can of worms with alignment. And that's a Predator and a half, pricewise.

I would try a 72T axle sprocket. I have a feeling your ratio is just a bit too steep at the moment

Might not fit, theres not much ground clearance as it is. And yeah the sprockets look way out of line but it could be just the pic

I agree 72:12 should be good.
72T #35 sprocket should be less than 9". It should work fine on 12" tires.
Or a torque converter - even better.

So, i took the 10 tooth sprocket cover off old clutch and put replaced it on new clutch. Works great! Thanx for insight into gear ratio. Now on to a role cage.

Just make sure you get the same type of chain it uses...

If it was a 12T and is now a 10T, it was probably a #35 sprocket with 3/8" pitch and is now a #40/41/420 sprocket with 1/2" pitch. Measure from one tooth to an adjacent tooth.
1/2" or 3/8"

Now measure on the rear sprocket.
