newb to karting

im a newb to this who karting thing. i go to a track close to my work daily just for fun. anyway the carts are ok but kinda slow, i know there is a way to get around the throttle screw they use to restrect the kart. but i cant figure out how. any help would be great.

I wouldn't do it. They're probably running the stock governor on the engine, so revving it much higher than 3,600 rpm can cause the governor mechanism to grenade itself inside the engine.

Just what I've read, mind, but I'm sure there is a reason most people recommend removing the governor internals if running past 3,600 rpm.
