newb from TN

Hey guys ,
my name is Charles I just found your site a few days ago, but it is perfect timing. Just got a new house for me and my 7 y/o son. I promised him when we got out of the apartment he could have a go-cart. Our yard isn't huge , but the house is bordered on 2 sides by 400 acres of open field . The farmer already said we are welcome to ride our dirt bikes or whatever out there and the other kids from neighborhood already do. I wanted it to be a project we could build together and have fun with, so I started the search. I think I lucked up on a deal( Yall tell me how I did) . 3 cart frames mostly complete, one has live axle and just needs motor,clutch.. and a 49cc kazuma 4 wheeler got it all for $100.

I will post pics up soon so I can get some help figuring out what kind of carts I have.

I was a little dissappointed today, northern tool no longer stocks cart stuff loacally. So time for finding an internet supplier. We will be headed to Nashville to grab a predator 6.5 since they are on sale for $99.

IMO, you lucked out BIG TIME! You should be able to get at least one going in short order, then build the others up over time

BMI have great prices but, they get you with the shipping, which has been known to cost more than the items themselves...

I am gonna share this here and start an actual build thread once I decide which cart to finish first.
I was looking on CL for a cheap cart for donor parts when I found the ad for these. Both have new live axles, disc brakes,new bearings the redish one has brand new wheels and tires . They came with b&s flathead motors? (think that's what they are) they guy said they were racing motors with no governors. While standing in his shop I mentioned I had the same kazuma atv , and I was looking for gas tank and plastics for it. He gave me the quad for free with seat ,plastics,tank, and brand new parts he bought for it!!!. Mine just needs a new stator which is already ordered.

Well I will just say , for all 5 karts , both quads and the new parts I ordered . I am $350 into this project. The plan is to build 2 carts, and sell the other 3 frames.

Just an update...4 wheeler is together and running . cart is running good, just have to finish cage and add some red graphics to it
