Can someone suggest ways I can use any of these parts with a streaker yard kart. It has a 40 pitch chain, 49 teeth sprocket and I just ordered a 10T clutch for it. The tires are 6 inch.

Hey guys, I got some yard karts for my boys. The parts that came with the karts are unfamiliar to what I'm used to seeing, including the sprokets and heavier duty #40 chain. I see a few torque converter components. Please tell me about parts you attached and all/any suggested use. Also on two of the karts, the sprockets are 49 teeth on them in which I have already ordered a 10T clutch for it and the third one has 66 teeth in which I have ordered a 12T clutch for it. As you see, they all have 6inch tires. The engine I got for one of them needs to be lifted higher so the bolt from the clutch will not touch the tire. I would deeply appreciate any help, advice or suggestions.

I would use the torque converter that is lying there instead of that clutch you just ordered. Also, could you give us the actual diameter of your rear wheels. 6" sound like the rim dimensions. Measure from the ground to the top of the tyre.

A 49/10 = 4.9:1 gear ratio is also slightly steep. You may have problems with low end torque.....and if you are riding in hilly areas you will definitely have a problem. Think of it as taking off in a manual car in second or third gear

I have merged your two threads together as they were dealing with the same questions

I had the same issue with mounting the TC on my go cart. If the bottom of the TC plate bumps the frame, you'll have to get a mounting plate made to raise the engine up 2" or so.
