Hello all. New to this forum but not new to forums.

I was able to pickup a used 150 XRS very, very cheap (got it for a .22 rifle and a box of ammo). The original owners daughter rolled it several years and it has been sitting ever since. He had bought all the parts needed to fix it but as his daughter got older, he lost interest in it. I had to change out the subframe, a rear wheel hub, the battery and a few misc parts. I cleaned out the intake tube and sprayed some carb cleaner directly into the carb. I also had to give it a cleaning because it had sat outside for quite a bit of that time. After a bit of cranking it started right up and away we went.

My only question is, when you hit the gas hard on take off, it grinds like it's not completely in gear. If you hit slowly, the CVT will eventually engage and all is well. Is this just an adjustment issue?

I have a few videos of us riding it on YouTube, just search gdhoward65301

Clean the CVT maybe? Might be rusted, take it apart and have a look...
