I bought my kids a Manco Hyper. It starts and runs great but has zero low end power (you have to push it to get started). I replaced the clutch thinking that was the problem, apparently not still having the same problem. I don't know if I need to change the sprockets put a torque converter or both to getthis thing running smoothly. Any ideas or help would greatly be appreciated.

Specs
Engine - Robin 5 hp 126 cc
Tires are 6 inch

That all sounds Good to me. 7.66:1 on 14" tires. Unless that cart is Really heavy with 2 heavy riders. and Way under powered.

You might need to upgrade the motor to a more substantial power source...A pred 212 or the like... Will bolt on with minimal effort... And a noticeable difference in power.

My Manco I bought had the exact same engine, 126cc Subaru/Robin... It was pretty slow, even with a torque converter the take off was what the professionals call "pathetic". I even tried to put this engine on my mini bike and even there it just did not seem to have any usable power band unless you rev past the governor. I put a pred212 on my go kart and the difference is substantial. I even put a 212 on my mini bike and now all it does is wheelie but that is a different story.

Remove the governor, or adjust the governor to give you more than 3600 RPM give or take. You've got to have more revs.

Lol I've never seen somebody put a fan on a clutch like that before, but I have thought of it before and it would probably work pretty well other than looking like crap and making an unintentional flesh grinder

Funny thing that fan is FACTORY equip too.
I think they knew the Gearing was bad and the clutch would be hot.
