I wish I had a grandpa like you growing up. Maybe then I wouldn't have to spend my adult life playing with toys.

My grandfather gave me high powered rifles to play with....and my uncles gave me booze...I'm eternally grateful?

I'm guessing 40/41 chain?
With 16" I might try

14 T clutch
17 T JS input
10T JS output
60 T Axle

7.3: 1
16" Tires
23 mph at 3600 RPM

Hello and welcome
Whats the tire size....

Off hand to keep the 6:1 ratio.....14t on the input....
Clutch- 14t
JS in- 14t
JS out-10t
Rear sprocket-60t

Here's a calculator to try different ratio's
http://www.affordablegokarts.com/GearCalc.php

That is a useful link, But I would not go with the 14 tooth. 6:1 is a little to high with 16" tires. Try 15 or 16.

I say go with that to start... It had worked with me, and I just upgraded to 7:1 with a little better take off....
