HI I just aquired 2 go karts. 1 is a manco red fox lxt, the other is a yerf dog , not sure what model will post picks later. Having trouble finding a spindle for the manco. Any suggestions? also y. d. is a single seat with no shocks or spring suspension. both have 5 horse tecumseh motors that i hope will run,cleaning up as we speak. ohh50 motors both good spark but one back fires through the carb.

Welcome to the forum! The engine with the wonky backfire- check the flywheel key- it's likely sheared.

Found out that one kart is a 3020 yerf-dog the other is a manco redfox lxt. I need a spindle for the manco as the king pin hole is oblong, also a throttle cable and all new tires. On the yerfy i need the bushings for the spindles and all new tires plus a seat, i have the frame for the seat but lacking the cushions. I own a custom wood window and door co. so im sure i can build up with plywood and foam. Any ideas on where to get these parts? By the way this forum is really great with great people on it.

Thinking about a 212 predator motor for one cart and using one 5 horse for the other. Will i have any problems installing the new motor on the manco redfox ?

IIRC, all small industrial engines have the same footprint & similar shaft location so, it shoud be a simple affair.

can i clean up the bearings in the rims or should i buy new rims?

Give them a quick clean & check for movement; holding the outer ring in one hand, move the inner ring side to side. If there's very little movement, they're good; if there's a lot of movement, replace them

Also, the bearings should turn smoothly, any roughness once they're clean is bad.
