Hey yall,
Been through some posts and threads on here a few times while searching for things. Figured I'd finally make a profile and actually start learning, haha. I got the kart fever from my cousin back during the summer and haven't been able to shake it. So, I figured, why not indulge? I've been making some rough outlines of what I want in a kart. I'd like to make it my daily driver. I work on a ranch and it would surely come in handy out in the field and traversing from one to the other. I don't know exactly where to start considering I want to use a motorcycle engine for power, I dont even know If I'm in the right place, lol. But i figured from all the knowledge ive seen come through here, that i could Get some help and advice. Any is greatly appreciated

Thank you for the welcome! I was hoping so. Yes. I'm thinking at least 8-10 inches of ground clearance. I don't need anything higher really. The engine I'm most likely going with is a suzuki sv650. Sticking to 2wd as well. Rear mounted motor for balance because I would like to make a small trunk up front for tools and some gear I use.

Thank you. Yes, I wasn't meaning about yard karts or the like. More like an old Honda Odyssey but alot better for road travel. I figure after reading alot more last two days that I'm looking to make amini buggy.

Thanks for the link landuse.

Yeah, I've thought about a mule ezcome-ezgobut scrapped the idea when I decided I wanted to be able to travel with the buggy. Throws duffle bag in and head north three hours to visit family. So, it'll be getting about 70-80% road use and light to moderate dirt and mud travel.
