Good morning I'm hoping this is ok to ask if not sorry but I need to know if a 70 amp welder is enough amps to weld on the kart I'm on a tight budget any help would be great?

Should be. But I would be careful if using an arc welder. Piping has a terrible tendency to blow out. And believe me, that will scare the **** out of you. Other than that, should be good. Just take your time. And don't be afraid to ask any questions about this topic. Everyone is usually friendly here. I have not been on here long. But the users of this site are generally happy to answer your questions.

Do you already have that welder?
There are cheap wire fed options that people have been succesful with for around 100 bucks.

If chancer chimes in, he'll tell you how you can return it if you don't like it.

I stepped up to the HF 180 lol. But it was great to learn with, and really affordable.

Just began trying to weld. I'm using 90 amp flux core wire fed welder from HF. Throw the wire it comes with in the garbage, Get Lincoln wire.. I also upgraded to a much better grounding clamp. There are good video series about upgrading the welder to make it decent.
