Got this little streaker this morning in trade, had a Briggs 5hp on it that isn't getting fuel so I have a coupon for a $95 predator. Governor will be removed, question is, when should I do it? Had no choice but the hemi, should I leave the governor for a break-in period, or pull it before oil and take it easy for a while?

Yes I have the seat pad, put it up so the pup doesn't shred it.

Thanks anyway, it's running now, need a better return spring on the throttle but good to go otherwise. Removed Gov and I'll take it easy for the first several hours, have other karts I can beat on in the meantime.

Thank you, I admit I got lucky! Still has the original seat cover/pad, and it in relatively good shape. Just wish the old streaker sticker was still on the floor. It moves pretty well too, gearing is 6:1 and she got a little sideways on pavement, surprised me a bit. Been looking for a ken-bar for many years, only knew it as a streaker for most of those years.

It actually does pretty well with those, however I did think about a little smaller tire up on the front. There is a set of slicks on the local craigslist that would fit those wheels but are low profile, if I can get the extra $100 to burn I think they would be sweet on this one. I wasn't expecting a live axle on it, but I'm not upset about it either. I think you have the model my cousin and I grew up riding, which I thought was this one, till I saw the live axle.
