Cool any Idea of Model? Also I'm having a heck of a time finding axle replacement parts.

The rear axle is either 1" or 3/4" diameter and the front wheel spindles are 5/8" diameter. Very very common and easy to find.

Check 'em out yourself. The exploded parts diagrams are fairly conclusive as to which model you may have but the drawings are crude and basically just a representation. Otherwise you are left to searching for internet images or whatever you can find. The listing is probably far from complete. Maybe someone should call BMI and ask.....

The single seat karts start with a "1" serial number and the two seat karts start with a "2". There are additional single seat karts at the bottom.

You’re doing it wrong. Figure out what you need and then try to find the closest match to that part. ;) It looks like it may have had the remnants of a 20 series CVT system on it. If it did you will need to get another one. JimD on here owns Max-Torque and can help you out. He’s a stand up guy!

These are the parts I was looking for. So far the hub size is not common and no one has anything close. 3/4” axle (Brake drum is 4” not 2 5/8” don’t know what I was measuring)

Please be advised you might have to make or modify parts to fit. I have found the best way is sometimes to just buy a 1 inch axle the right length, bearings, flangettes and hubs and a sprocket. Remove all the old stuff and install all new, matching, readily available parts. That way, I can put it together, not waiting and hunting for parts to fit my obsolete project. For a couple hundred bucks, I'm riding.

That hub in the center photo IS rather proprietary to Carter Brothers. It’s like a jewel and rare. Is yours damaged? I suspect it was custom made by or for Carter and allowed Carter to mount the wheel, sprocket and brake as an assembly on the left wheel on both their live and dead axle (one wheel peel) karts.

On your 3rd photo you measure the bolt circle diagonally across the center hole, FYI, so your measurement is incorrect. Only replace what is broken or worn out. If it’s rusty and you hate it for its ugliness, we don’t care. Grind off the rust with a wire wheel in the 10K RPM range (angle grinder is your friend) paint it to protect it and drive on!

Brake drum probably has a lot of life left in it.

ok cool. Looks like the hub and the sprocket are the needs right now.

Agreed. My next step is to see if a 1" axle will fit in the existing axle tube. Also got to see if they make a 1 5/8"OD X 1" ID bearing to replace the 3/4". If that isn't available might just have to cut and modify the frame for a live axle kit. ( very last thing I want to do)
