Hi all,
Made a swap today of a remote controlled truck for two go-kart frames and a Chinese ATV. One of the go karts is a basic single seat frame and the other is single seat buggy type with roll bars. The dune buggy type has a pair of 13" car tires on it. Im thinking of putting 10+hp engine on it that will probably pull the front wheels off the ground! Lol! Just trying to get suggestions on what type clutch sprocket combination will work with those large tires?
The other cart has no wheels/tires so I'm looking for suggestions on what would work best as we live out in the country and I would like to give it more ground clearance. Would like to go with 8 to 9 hp motor on it. Seems excessive but my kids are teenagers and I'm know for doing crazy stuff for them. Example I once rewired my daughters Barbie Lamborghini with an over sized motor and a 12v motorcycle battery, I would spin the rear wheel constantly! Crazy, yes....fun, you bet!
I need some info on the correct clutches and possible engine selections for what I want to do. Any help would be welcomed as I am new to go carts.
Thanks guys!
:wai:

You can't really is the basic black frame at the back of the trailer. The buggy type I'm almost certain is a Manco Dingo. Although I appears to have not been assembled 100% correctly. It appearantly has a belt torque converter for its drive as I've found on the Internet. I'm traveling to the upstate next weekend to hopefully pick up a 396cc engine from a Dewalt generator has electric start which will necessitate a battery but also means it should have alternator so lights will be an option. I've got a buddy that's gonna hook me up with some wheelie bars! Lol! Anyone have any experience with the Dingo? The plane frame is single wheel drive, I've seen where people have converted those to live axel. Is it worth the trouble for just for fun toy for teenagers to ride around the yard? How about engine options, how much is too much? Is there such a thing? :lolgoku:

Oh my... those rear wheels are gonna be a chore to turn... what they weight? The heavier/larger the wheel (rim/tire) the more initial torque needed to gettem moving.
