heres what i have to do with my lawn mower sometimes, as soon as it starts to fire, push in the throttle body just a little, if it stays running when you let it go, its your idle screw, it needs to be in farther, if not, as b man said, your linkages are messed up

well.....heres the test to prove if your carbs screwed. get the rear wheels off the ground. undo the linkages. turn idle screw all the way in. take the air cleaner off. clean the carb bowl. prime it really good(not like you where in the vid). prime atleast 4times makesure you see the fuel being primed. then once you know you got the fuel flowing try to start it. try a few times(don't give up after first try). if it won't idle then.....idk

Yerf Dog takes off on startup

I'm new to forum and go karts alike! I just replaced the green spring on driven clutch. The kart takes off immediately after pull. Big jump but while driving doesn't seem to gain speed too fast. Also sidenote one of the arms that extends to front tire popped off but I snapped it back on the rounded ball. Any help would be useful

Jimbolden, WELCOME to the forum! You'd be better off starting your own new post, instead of adding into a 2-yr-old dead thread. In the meanwhile, sounds like you need to lower the idle speed and maybe clean the carb or adjust the throttle cable. What engine and kart do you have? We love pictures here.

Karter98 - Instead of maybe suggesting he clean the carb, adjust the idle, etc... you go straight to "Change the carb"... Really???

In truth, some of the Tecumseh carbs are top-notch, with adjustable mains, etc. some of their later ones aren't as good, but they're no worse than any other comparable carb. Besides, where's the DIY in swapping parts?

?

Honestly I don't know what engine or too many parts! I looked up somethings and my engine doesn't have a idle screw.
