Me and my son just started building a go kart this past April and its almost complete. It surprised me on just how expensive these parts have become since I was a kid and locally (Denver, CO.) its next to impossible find a place that we can purchase parts from especially on the weekends.GARCIA1 - WIN_20140729_203303.jpg

Hola! Buenos dias! :welcome2:
Yeah , when you build one from scratch, the little bits and pieces add up real quick..... :lolgoku:
O you gotta post more pics than that! That is coming along nicely!
Is that an encased live axle or is a "one wheel peel"?
I see your spindle arms face forward..... Read this...... http://www.diygokarts.com/vb/showthread.php?t=11760

firemanjim; Its a dead axel, and the frame is made from 2 dollies that I had around the house I showed my son how to cut and stretch them, we also incorporated some square 1x1x16gauge into this build. My son named it Frankenstein because we pretty much just took bits and pieces from here and there to put this one together. The parts like the wheels, tires, tubes, spindles and such is what tripped me out when I found out the cost, this build here has cost us somewhere around 400.00

You got that right! I'd pay a $1000 for the time with my kids....
Familia de Garcia, 2 dollies? I love it! You fit right in man! That's a diy special for sure..... I don't tell my wife what I spend..... I suggest you follow suit..... That way you can build another, for you, so y'all can race..... :stir:
