Hi Folks, Recently picked up a Sears orange krate kart. I am hoping to do a complete overhaul. Working on bearing replacement for front wheels. Any suggestions for replacement bearings? I noted somewhere on the site that you can purchase reproduction logos for the orange krate kart. A link or site would be much appreciated. Lastly, are there any pictures of original karts that I could use in the process? Any help would be appreciated.IMG_0104.jpgbrake.jpgIMG_0105.jpg

Your front needs spindle bearings and the rear needs axle bearings. They can be purchased from any of the major kart supply shops. Two that I have used are Go Power Sports and also OMB Warehouse. Measure the diameter of front and rear axle, as well as the outside diameter of the bearing that's in there now.
An awful lot of karts use the same size, shouldn't be a problem finding them.

Howdy & :welcome2:

Nice kart!

A couple of things I notice, is it looks like the steering support has been removed (you probably should replace it)
...& the brake cable should be connected to the middle of the brake band (on the rear axle)

I guess the OP isn't coming back. :cheers2:

Wow. Hellion, your necroposting.

Hory shet, I can't believe I made that mistake. I think I was drinkin' malt likker so I hope you can forgive me, Trash.
And it's *you're* or *you are*. 😄

By the way Hellion that steering wheel is correct for some of the 70s models. Very very rare!

Yeah-but not in the shape that steering wheel is in! I can't remember the brand of that steering wheel. Is it KELLER, SNELLER something?
I also meant to say the steering hoop looks like it's totally gone, bubba-butchered.
