new to briggs flatheads/ is this engine worth using?

so what your saying that sense it makes a sharp turn in the air flow, i should port the intake to allow air to flow that way more free? Also i do know better then to port the intake to a shine, ill probably leave at a 220grit finish, or maybe a bit finer. what advantages would i get from the longer rod and piston?

More stroke. And I wouldn't go more than 80 grit on the intake... My .02

anyone have an idea about intake ideas? I want to make power between 4000 to 7000, im curious if anyone has an idea for runner length

:wai: Best advice I can give you, is to buy Jimmy Glenns book. Building a race ready 5 HP Briggs. Best 25$ including shipping that you will ever spend.

also does anyone know of a post where they adapted the sealed bearings? And how deep of a slot should i cut for the fire slot?

look up a raceing kart forum for the bearings

its not realy a diy thing

if u have a buddy in a machine shop (it appears u do)
then take the bearings to him and he should be able to work out how to mill the block and what crush u require
