Where did you find that? My HF site shows this engine.
I wonder if it's a regional thing.

Interesting. Didn't think they came with a key.

the HF here sells only the "Hemi-Head" version like the one on Sarge. (meaning it has the cast aluminum valve cover)

I too believe it is an incorrect picture. Download the manual and you'll see the same engine part number with no electric start, here is one I bought last weekend for a customer build and the only new changes were a ton of hideous warning stickers

All true.. but that's still a photo, and I doubt it's been photoshopped...
so there IS a 212 predator with electric start.

And according to the website "in store" product, not available online.
So there should be a store who actually has them...
Not saying they do not have non electric starter engines too of course.

PS downside: it'll be nearly impossible to find a billet flywheel for it ;)

I was thinking the exact same thing about the flywheel. If there is an electric start predator than maybe it will get aftermarket support soon. I will go to my local HF store to check if they actually have it.

it's not shopped, you can even see where the actual starter motor fits under the shroud.
Plus the other 212 picture has a different angle.

Someone will have to find one in a store and take pictures for us…

It looks like it has that emissions box on it too, may be a california only item.

I just called my W Bell Rd HF and they said they have 7 in stock, I will go after work and take a picture for you guys

EDIT

I'm still highly skeptical, HF manuals are awesome IMO, if you download the manual, the PDF maintains the part number 60363 and if you jump to page 17 with the parts diagram, there are no electric start components, I've never seen HF mis-print a parts manual, regardless, I will still go down there if I can't get ahold of one of the managers, we recently became acquainted and he is a fan of Phoenix Winch, this started as a discussion where he tried to sell me the extended warranty on the engine to which I explained my credentials and that I would NEVER need a warranty on those motors plus I immediately void it by removing govenors, if I can get him on the phone I'll ask him to text a picture of the engine so I can update you all sooner

I stopped into HF today.

I did stop by the engines for all y'all. The 212 is same as always (at least the one on display). A bigger one, way bigger, had a starter, but you likely already know that.

looks like they've updated the site.... if you search for this engine (60363), it brings up engine # 69730

I did ask that store manager to contact me if he can stock 6.5's with electric start

:wai: The pictured engine is a 420, no electric start. That is the engines on/off switch. The decal above the switch, states engine switch. Another give away is, there is no bump out on the flywheel cover for a starter.

It says 212cc on it...

What he's saying is, it's the same picture (apart from the decals) as the 420 #60349!

And he's right!!!

I must admit, I havent thought of photoshopping a different sized engine but now, I must agree it's photoshopped!

Proof:

On top the 420 (darker image) below the 212
cutouts to show the similarities...
