Hey everyone Im new to this kind of thing. I have a new Scooterx 196cc engine. This was my first time to run it. After about an hour of running it and making stops at my friends house I noticed that it wanted to move forward on its own even when I was not giving it any gas. It was not doing this when i first started running it today. keep in mind it is a brand new engine. Does anyone know what i should do to a fix that problem??

Lower the idle a bit.

When it's cold, the engine wouldn't be at full idle but, once it warms up it will be. If the warm idle is too high, it will be revving around the engagement speed of the clutch.

Always set the idle speed when the engine is hot, not cold; that's what a choke is for

thank you. I have been working on that this evening till it got dark. its seems to help but i could never get it to completely stop doing it till my last adjustment and it was parked in the grass and not cranked and not moving. It still wants to do it some going down the street though.

I meant to say after last adjustment it was in grass AND CRANKED and not moving and that's progress but when going down the road he seemed to still want to act like I was giving it a little gas even though I wasn't. Good on words. Lol. **PICS COMING on engine and clutch
