On friday i am taking a trip to riverside California to pick up my first mode of transportation .I will be getting a 250cc scooter it will be my first mode of transportation that i can call my own since it is 250cc and can meet highway speeds i will be allowed to drive it on the freeway .After i get my m1 permit

Just because there are stupid people in the world dont mean u should not do something .My other option was a 1985 c4 vette that has not been running in over 10 years its the v6 not the v8 and it has 100k+ miles .

if i keep my self in check then its just other people i have to watch for .Since the engine is of gy6 origin there are performance parts for it so i can get out of my own way

My father was telling me that everything liquid in that car will need to be changed gas tank flushed total refurbishment t top has a tendency to leak . its my first ride be proud lol i did my fathers 150cc that was fun has enough speed to get out of its own way at 65

And if you're really set on 2 wheels, get a motorcycle instead of a scooter, at least beyond 50cc. They get much more R&D and much better parts, your average 'beginner' Japanese motorcycle from 20+ years ago is still vastly superior to nearly any common scooter in the US, barring modern maxi scooters... And uh... From my understanding in SoCal you either get real good real fast on a bike, or die. That may be something to keep in mind.

yea i know lol so i am going to practice around the neighborhood before anything then i have to take the motorcycle safty course done by the chp and then i get my motorcycle permit and 6 months later my m1 and my scooter will be a 2008 Roketa 250 mc54

Roketas aren't great. If you're getting it as a toy that's fine, if you're getting it as a vehicle it's a rather poor choice.

Worth noting, a lot of basic rider courses teach techniques that are already too advanced for scooters. The lack of a gas tank between your legs stops you from significantly shifting your body in corners (counterweighting and hanging off) and reduces stability under heavy braking... and that's just scratching the surface.

Well if people could take care of them they would be better lol .Most people are so D** they cant even remember that a lawn mowers oil needs to be changed ever 20 hours or so of use .If you change the oil in every 1000 miles a total flush of all liquids every 2000 miles check bolts and tires the basic stuff .But people can be re****s and miss use them then they break .Run a predator without oil and watch it burn up and seize people will complain it did that just because its made in china lol but yet they forgot to put oil in it .

Something very telling: the service schedule makes no mention of valves, fuel lines, brake fluids, etc. which likely means they don't make it to 10,000 miles, even if they were 'perfect' off the floor.

If you want to pretend changing the oil regularly makes up for low quality design, materials, machining, fitment, electricals, hardware, and assembly, go for it

For every one person that gets one of the decent quality freaks out of China, there's likely 5 more getting melted down before 5,000 miles.

No i do not have the Mc54 the guy didnt know what he had i looked under the seat its a YY250T .Mines 6300 Km and still running strong .

They both look to be clones of a Reflex and given the vent shapes I imagine they both come off the same assembly line.

Unless you're prone to grabbing a fistful of brake without thinking, you'll definitely want to remove the "ABS" valve regardless of anything else.

What ever they are they stop thats all i care about and i learned my lesson when i was a kid .Mountain bikes and front brakes are not good .
