i am building my go kart and am about to mount the motor and get it started. i want to install an intake and exhaust on my predator 212 but i wasn't sure if i should install before or after i start it for the first time? what do you think?:thumbsup:

After, of course. So you can see, hear and feel the difference the intake and exhaust make.

Of course the first time you start it is the beginning of the break-in period so do it right--especially with the first oil change.

Yes. start it stock First.
Once in great while there is a bad engine that gets through.
Best to make sure it works from the Factory before messing with it.

Good advice. Don't be procrastinating and waiting around before you try your new engine out. At least attempt to break it in and if it pulls through with flying colors, you got yourself a keeper.

All the same--keep that receipt handy for the next 90 days and watch for defects, blow ups and screeching halts.
