Hello all......new member here. Ted.... Bullittcar. I still own the '68 390GT 4spd Mustang that I had in high school in 1976. Hence, my user name....
I was at a neighborhood estate sale this weekend, and noticed a go kart frame, a few motors, and misc kart parts piled in the garage. Being a vintage Mustang restoration guy, and remembering seeing the karts for sale at a local motorcycle shop back in the day, this piqued my interest. Back then....I was a mini bike and then a Honda CT70's guy, before getting my first car, a '67 Mustang.
I've started my research into what kind of kart I bought, as the estate had no idea.
It looks to me like a Rupp kart of some model, closely resembling the narrow steering support models like the Dart. However, the rear axle mounts are different than what I've found on the Internet for a Rupp?
Anyway, thought I would start with online forums for some help identifying. The wheels are not Rupp, but the motor looks like a West Bend model.
I've attached a few pics here. Reach out if you have any insight....thnx. Ted
