This poor guy is gonna think everyone on this forum is crazed :roflol:

Yeah... And?

Puh-leese! We got guys on here ranging into their 50's and 60's, bombin' around on little single-cylinder homebrew munchkin-mobiles with their knees in the air like demented mothers-to-be with a bizzarre penchant for speed! Where's the SANE part, again?

(No insult, fellas- I'm including myself in there, too!)

Oh hey neighbour :D

Just saying welcome and I replied to your PM (but I bet you already know that lol)[/QUOT

Howdy neighbour. Thank you very much for giving me your buddies number. Dave is a really cool guy and me and a buddy went down to his place to introduce ourselves and check some of his awsome stuff, its like garagemahal in there, lol. He showed me his vintage kart stuff and I will be buying a nice 62 or 63 Rupp Grand Prix roller chassis from him shortly, along with some needed parts. It needs to be restored but thats half the fun, cant wait to get started. BTW should it get the bare frame sandblasted or use a chemical paint stripper? the reason I ask is there is some pitting on the frame rails and seat pans, dont want to further weaken the metal buy blasting it away.

sandblasting is the way to go

any extra metal that is "blown away" wasnt providing any support anyway if it can just peal off

and it will show areas of the seat pan and rails that u may need to replace

but sandblasting will cost
