Hello from North Alabama. I am almost 34 years old and just bought my first go kart. I bought an older Carter yard kart and have been working on it the last couple of weeks. This is a father daughter project and thanks to all of you for the great information!

Yea I have already bought another kart. It is almost identical to my first one. It is slightly smaller. About 6 inches shorter and about an inch more narrow. I guess I will be painting it pink for my daughter.

Top marks for involving your daughter involved! Too many kids are born and raised with a game controller permanently stuck in their hands. Good job- how old is she?

My daughter will be 4 on August 1. She likes working on stuff. She helped me with some of the things on my 1967 CJ 6. (sixer). She doe's not play many video games. She enjoys playing outside. I plan on taking her hunting this year.

now thats good. i think most reasons kids turn to video games and crap is because their parents never get them into anything.
