New member with a question ...

Hello,been lurking here every now and then.I recently bought 2 go karts.Fun carts,1 for my daughter,and 1 for me.
I got her a Thunder Kart with a 5hp Briggs Fun Power with govenor.Its kinda slow.Shes only 9, but I would like to kick it up a little bit.How do I make these adjustments to the govenor? The guy at the repair shop told me it cant be done, but I call schennanigans on that deal.
Any help would be appreciated,as I am not very engine inclined,challenged you might say.But I know the basics.

Guy at repair shop is correct.
Only minor adjustments (usually bending of governor linkage) can be affected to stay within the 3600 rpm range +/- 300. Not enough to "kick it up a little bit".
To do what you want requires removal of governor
