Hi everyone,

Just went looking today for a forum full of guys(and girls, lets not be sexist) who were doing the same thing as me. I went to a car show recently, and picked up a bike. It did not include a motor, but being a big car show, there were quite a few to choose from, and I finally settled on a B&S 5hp with a clutch for $20. The frame was $15. Here are some pics. feel free to comment or make suggestions. I am planning on powdercoating the frame, and I will fab a muffler system, thinking about just open pipes, because of where the motor mounts, the stock exhaust will burn a leg off. the rear tire is removed because I just ordered a rear sprocket for the clutch, as the rear sprocket on the bike was a cheap chinese one, and I figured a rear sprocket would be cheaper and easier than finding a chinese clutch for a briggs 5hp.

yeah, cheap is always good, the motor runs great, when i bought it, the gas inside the tank looked like varnish, so I added carb cleaner and stabil, and it took a bit, but it runs great now.

the guy had it at 50, and at car shows you can always haggle, so i walked up and started looking at it, and he was like, I want 50, and i was like, OK, and just kept looking at it, then he was like, just offer me 25, and I was like, maybe I will come back, then like two hours later I did, and offered 15 cuz I thought he would go to 20 and I would take it, but he took 15!

BUMP!

The bike finally went for a ride, I would say it went about 35 uphill, and it doesn't have brakes so I didn't take it full out on a level area. Once I get a caliper and lever for the front and a better seat than what I have now, I will take it back out and find out what it can do.

no, that was me being stupid and not reading the posts or running my engine before I mounted it, it now is mounted correctly and it goes forward

question, why go for twin shock suspension and a springer seat (especially adding a seat post). are the shocks that stiff?

Mike- The bike frame came with the rear suspension, and the seat and post were just laying around.

Kaz, the rear wheel is 130/60 R10, yeah, its fast
