So much good information on this site I had to join. So first off let me say thank you to all the members.

I have a 200cc lifan engine. Brand new engine and the clutch will not disengage. I can jam into gear without clutch but absolutely cannot move the actuator to disengage. I cannot even move the actuator with my hands any. I took apart and everything seems to be in place. I dont believe this has to do with the plates being stuck. More of an issue with the actuator and push rod..the spring screws were torqued all the way down (not sure if they are supposed to be tight or not?)..ANY advice would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Hi.. I can't move the clutch actuator on my motorbike either..
the clutchlever is the one that's giving me the leverage I need to decouple the clutch.

So first question:

Have you installed a clutch lever (to a handlebar) and used that to try to disengage the clutch?

If not.. that's likely your problem ;)

Not really familiar with these engines... But have you taken the clutch compleatly apart and inspected everything, from the start to the outside part of the case with the lever???

I’m currently building a 250cc Honda rebel go cart and my clutch was the same thing. don’t doubt the pads won’t be stuck. take it apart and unstick all of the pads. worked for me. You got lucky your clutch is held on by a clip mine had a nut that needed a special tool nothing to screw driver and a Hammer couldn’t fix

Thanks for all the input. But I've yet to fix the problem. I've attached some pictures. I cleaned the plates and put them back in. The actuator lever still will not pull more than a few mm. It feels as though when I pull the lever i'm hitting a brick wall. I dont understand. Any more ideas?

Do all the plates move freely individually in the basket???
Does all the other parts move freely individually(all associated clutch parts) , not totally assembled???

Yes. The actuator moves freely. Plates move are not stuck. Spline that the basket sits on moves. And the basket itself moves.
So the plate and springs hold pressure and the plates are pushed together inward pressure towards engine. It seems as though the inner basket is hitting against the larger part of the spline and cannot move inward anymore to free the plates? This engine seems to be a honda atc200 clone. I've been looking at videos of these engines but the small rod doesnt seem to be present in those engines. Idk what to do.
The basket sits on this spline in this picture.

The small rod sits freely inside the part where the baring is.

#13 is inside #12 which sits inside the bearing. The bearing sits inside the lifter plate #9 which is bolted to the pressure plate #3. The springs force #6 towards #3 putting pressure on the clutch pads. When clutch lever is pulled #13 pushes #3 away from #6.

If you try to pull on the shaft, does it move.
